4 Tips for Writing Owner Christmas Cards
Before you turn on your holiday playlist and sit down to write your holiday cards, read through these four tips for making sure your owners feel the Christmas love this year.
1. Always, always add a custom message.
Your owners are going to get tons of holiday cards. Don’t send yet another red and green card with yet another stock message. It’ll just become part of the Christmas clutter. And, you’re totally better than Christmas clutter. Thank that one owner for being so invested in improving his home this year. Let that one couple know how excited you are that their daughter is coming home from college for the holidays. Make sure they know that they’re important to you!
2. Sign all of your cards with your name rather than the company name.
Nothing feels more generic than receiving a card from “the management.” If you’d prefer the card come from the whole team, get them all involved by asking them to sign each card. Plus, employees who have great relationships with certain owners could even take on the task of writing your personal messages.
3. It’s not just what’s inside that counts.
Take the time to put some love into your envelopes, too. Address labels and big ugly machine stamps scream junk mail. Handwrite the addresses and invest in some cute little holiday stamps.
4. Go digital.
As December speeds along and your calendar fills up with this Christmas party and that kid’s holiday concert, don’t let it kill your plans to send holiday greetings to your owners. If there’s no time to handwrite and mail your cards, craft an email with your personal message. We’ve created some email-friendly versions of our holiday cards you can use to make your digital Christmas wishes extra festive.
